The Grinch, a fictional character created by Dr Seuss, first appeared in the 1957 book How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. The character has been adapted into various animated and live-action movies and television specials, becoming a prominent figure in Christmas media.
Often simply called "The Grinch," the character is depicted as a grumpy, cave-dwelling creature with a heart "two sizes too small". He resides on Mount Crumpit, overlooking Whoville, a cheerful town whose Christmas celebrations he despises.
